Project Curie

CMPUT 301 Final Project - Winter 2021

Overview

I completed this project as part of my CMPUT 301 coursework in Winter of 2021. Project Curie is an android application for crowdsourcing experimental data. Named after Marie and Pierre Curie, the app allows users to both publish new experiments and to submit trial results to existing experiments. Users may view statistics for gathered data from within the app and may post and respond to questions for any given experiment. Geolocation data can be collected as part of an experiment, in which case users may view a map of all submitted trials. Users may also opt to register a barcode or QR code to serve as a specific trial result when scanned. Data persistence is provided by a FireStore Cloud database. The project source code as well as UML, UI mockups, and storyboards can be viewed in the GitHub repository.
